Sometimes buyers simply forget to pay. Usually a friendly reminder is enough.
Step by step
- Day 1-2: Friendly reminder via eBay message: "Hi, I noticed the payment for [item] is still pending. Is there an issue?"
- Day 3-4: Second reminder with note about eBay policies
- Day 4+: Open an unpaid item case on eBay
- Day 8+: eBay closes the case automatically and you get your fees back
Important
- NEVER relist the item before the case is closed
- Stay friendly — some buyers have technical issues with payment
- For repeat offenders: Add them to your blocked buyer list
